Fast for Users, Failing on Core Web Vitals: Is It Time to Move On from Adobe PWA Studio?
Fast for the user, yet performs terribly on Google PageSpeed (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse).
It was supposed to be the leading-edge frontend for Magento/Adobe Commerce, but now it feels almost abandoned by its creators.
It’s expensive to maintain, and management capabilities are poor. Even Magento’s native features are only partially supported.
Yes, we’re talking about Adobe PWA Studio.
❗Is there still a case for this technology today? For many merchants, migrating to Hyvä would be a better mid-term investment than continuing to support a PWA frontend. It would also give the website management team significantly more flexibility.
P.S. Is it the same story for ScandiPWA or Vue Storefront?
